  One month into this color mix. The color fade has been more rapid than when I do single colors (probably because it was harder to thoroughly coat and I couldn't really comb through like I normally do), but it's really pretty. I get a LOT of compliments on it, even more than I did a few weeks ago.

  My first real attempt at a mix of colors (after more than a week). I separated out chunks and colored with Arctic Fox Aquamarine (turquoise), Poseidon (medium blue), and Purple Rain (purple). The purple shows up a lot more in real life than in this photo. The turquoise and blue are a lot more subtly blended. I like it, but boy, it was a lot of work! This was on top of a turquoise base with freshly-bleached roots. This is more than a week in, and I've shampooed twice at this point and co-washed once. With AF blues, I get some staining on towels and pillowcases at first but not on my skin. Arctic Fox, on me, fades slowly and beautifully. Usually I re-color at about 7-8 weeks, not because I don't like the resulting color, but because my dark blonde roots show up and drive me nuts. My roots bleach easily with diluted 20 developer bleach, and I generally do not re-bleach the rest of it, so it's very healthy still.

  Five weeks in. The Arctic Fox fade is, as always, stellar on me. Until today you could still see steel-blue on my ends from Poseidon and Virgin Pink, but now they're visible only if you look closely. You can tell it's spring -- my curls have reappeared!

  Second attempt at ... well, it's not really an ombre. :) I am using Aquamarine as a base color and then basically coloring the ends another time. I used Poseidon (blue) and Virgin Pink (which on the turquoise resulted in purple.

  My first attempt at multiple colors. Arctic Fox Poseidon and Virgin Pink on ends of a faded AF Aquamarine (with a bit of Phantom Green). Very happy with it as an experiment and learning experience. I did, I think, dilute the pink too much because it isn't showing up as well as the blue. I have fine hair and not a ton of it. I love love this color combination (on virgin hair I'd probably use Purple Rain instead of the pink) but I need to figure out a way to have more color blocks instead of mottling. I think. The blocks of color I put in were a bit too small, I think.

  Three+ weeks into this combination, and is typical for Arctic Fox, it's faded a bit to a lovely lighter shade that will probably hang on until I get annoyed with my roots and bleach it out.

  Mostly Aquamarine, about 15% Phantom Green, a squirt of white conditioner and a squirt of Poseidon. Love how it turned out!
