My hair was my natural dark brown. Several yrs ago I put red in it. I had hell getting it out. I had to use a stripper on it and it ended up pretty much white on the bottom for some reason. so then I said pink on it and ended up with really pink on the bottom and brownish pink on the top? That was probably a year ago. Then a few months ago I put blue on it and again it came out really blue on the bottom and for some god-awful reason green on the top. So my question is this...
If I could purple over this what am I going to end up with?
Iroiro plum mixed with Adore Bordeaux, Adore dark chocolate at the roots. Plum is a tricky color to photograph, the camera picks it up as red but in most lighting it's a magenta/fuchsia. Overall the color is more purple and subdued than in this picture.
I feel like I'm always bouncing between warm and cool, but this felt nice for the change in seasons. For some reason, the oranges I mix up always end up fading down really quickly. It's only been two washes and the roots are already down to a golden flaxseed shade.
The orange was Truly Red and Neon Yellow. The purple was roughly 2:1 Flamingo Pink and Locked-In Teal diluted in equal parts conditioner. I kept it a bit more on the pink side, because it was going over a minty green base and I think it pulled the way I wanted it to. It's not shown in the photo, but the back is a bit of a raspberry shade made with about 1:1 Truly Red and Flamingo.
Helppp!!! I wanna go back to brown and possibly use a permanent color that I could fearlessly go swimming in and maybe not have to re dye so often, but how? Do I dye it red first and if so what color do I use? How do I so this please someone help me
