Stargazer Plume

★★★★

Probably Stargazer’s best purple, Plume is a wonderful shade of rich, saturated purple. It has cool tones, making it a deep violet colour and because it’s so pigmented, it adds shine to even very dry or damaged hair.

For the brightest and most vivid results, apply Plume to bleached hair. You can also use this over faded permanent colour to add shine and refresh the colour.

Usage

For best results Stargazer should be applied to freshly washed, pre-lightened, damp hair. For the brightest results, or when using pastel colours you will get best results on very pale blond hair.

For even results apply using a tint brush. Avoid contact with scalp as staining my occur. A layer of petroleum jelly around the hairline and ears will help prevent staining to the skin. If stains do occur, most can be removed with soap and water or rubbing alcohol.
Each pack comes complete with plastic gloves. Wear these to avoid staining your hands.

Once applied comb the hair until it emulsifies. This helps the hair absorb the dye and ensures a more even coverage.

  • Precautions

Always read the manufacturers instructions and check the ingredients for anything you may be allergic to.

Always do a strand and sensitivity test before applying this hair dye.

Colours will stain natural fibres, textiles, carpets, walls & surfaces as well as any other porous surface so ensure your work area is covered before applying the dye.

Colour may rub off damp hair onto surfaces so we advise using an old pillowcase for the first few washes.

Temporary staining may occur to skin but this can be removed with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Temporary staining to baths, showers and sinks can be removed with household bleach (always check manufacturers instructions before use).

Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Reviews of Stargazer Plume

  • Dark purple, almost black on my non-bleached medium auburn-ish hair. Exactly what I wanted. When dry, the color didn't bleed on clothing or bedding. The intensity lasted about 2 weeks, and it has gradually faded to a burgundy. My only complaint is that it doesn't last long enough!
  • Pretty purple! Turns out pretty dark, but I guess it depends on how light you get it first. If you take really good care of it, you can go upto a month before it turns fuchia and you have to touch up. I used this in combination with black chunks of hair, but I'll soon use it again for my entire hair.
  • A lovely dark purple - the longer I allowed it to process on my bleach-blonde hair, the darker it got. It started fading after a week, a week and a half, and turned to a nice pastel purple with no significant pink or blue tones.
  • I bleached my hair and it turned into a ginger; then put the plume on top!!! around a month ago now and its still intense!! I loved this!!
  • I used this on my bleached hair, It looked stunning in the beginning but approx a month later my hair is washed out with grey and brown stains all over my hair..
  • I've just dyed some hair extensions with this colour and it's a beautiful velvety dark purple. The extensions were already very light blonde so the only way you'd get this brighter is by diluting it. It has a beautiful sheen in the sun and is really rich.
  • First unnatural colour I have ever used. And it worked pretty fine on my not very bleached hair.
  • i want to know if i would look good in those colors
  • This color is absolutely amazing. It's sticking well into week 3 and is still incredibly bright just under the top layers of my hair and on the sides.
  • Turned my hair more pink than i expected. Not violet at all.
  • I have applied eggplant and plume in the tops of my hair. The color eggplant has disappointed a bit the color, since I thought that I would take a pink color and is more reddish. Probably let's be because previously I tape-worm a dye mahogany that I bleach. On the other hand the color plume has remained very well.
  • would it work on medium/dark brown hair? or would i have to bleach it?
  • I mixed it with Soft Violet (I bought it and then discovered it was a pastel colour :') ) on my greenish faded blue and bleached roots and it turned out lovely! Because I mixed it there are blue parts and more violet-pink parts. Plus depending on the light it looks different. I love it!
  • This has got to be my very favorite purple dye! It's one of the few that photograph purple for me rather than blue, lol :). It's very pigmented and is a simply beautiful shade!
