Reviews of Manic Panic Violet Night

  • My bottle of violet night looks exactly like magenta. It's very confusing, because it doesn't look nothing like the swatch. :( Report Comment
  • i dyed my hair purple for the first time with this product and forgot to review it but given my friends and i are looking into buying another purple dye to show our support to a very ill bud of ours i stumbled upon this brand and shade again and thought i'd share my experience my hair turned out to be a totally different color from the one advertised -- much darker and much colder, which is exactly what i was trying to avoid. i left the dye on overnight as i'd read manic panic works better that way but despite my efforts and having taken cold, few showers it faded really quickly and really unevenly into various colors at several degrees of intensity. at first it was magenta and an even darker purple, but then part of it turned blue, some salmon pink and some grey (i dyed my hair when it was hot fuchsia thinking it'd fade to soft warm hues but the previous dye really didn't show) i tried bleaching my hair back to normal but the dye wouldn't leave -- it got to some really ugly colors and bam, looked like it was always gonna stay that way. i used a lot of diy methods i found here and online in general but i just had to give up eventually i really wouldn't buy this product ever again Report Comment
