Reviews of Manic Panic Venus Envy

  • This is such an odd shade of green. The dyestuff coming out of the tub looks very dark and drab, a muddied forest green -- but then you swatch it on white paper, you see that it isn't dark at all; the pigmentation level is rather low. It's not sharp and bright like the other hair dyes you've used, it looks like a muted green that is naturally very dark but has been diluted significantly. You start to worry and wonder whether you want to be putting such a color in your hair. But when you do, it comes out a bright green, like St. Patrick's day kelly green -- only a touch less yellow. The verdict: weird choice of pigments to combine, Manic Panic, but it produces pleasing results, so who am I to judge?
  • I loved the green color it came out. Too bad it faded to turquoise in a week! Admittedly, it was a beautiful turquoise, and it looks exactly like "Atomic Turquoise." It didn't fade AT ALL for five weeks, and that's when I realized that it had stained. If I didn't have color ADHD, this would be fantastic, but until it grows out enough to cut it off I'm stuck to blue based dyes only! But hey. It was always beautiful, possibly permanently XD
  • Wouldn't recommend unfortunatley. I used nearly the entire tub and my hair still didnt go the colour its supposed to. Very disappointed. I bleached my hair the day before and the roots just wouldn't take. I'll buy a green I know works next time. I had such high hopes for it too :/
  • I had this colour for a few months and can honestly say it is one of my favorites! The color took to my hair very nicely and stayed without fading. I had to go to a professional to get the colour out even! There was no run off in the shower whatsoever and was true to the shade on the swatch.
