Reviews of Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink

  • I just got this and it turned out great - more of a subtle/ pastel pink. I left it on for an hour and blow dried it for about 10 min. I just wanted a streak of this color - so I tried my best to isolate the strand with the rest of my hair with clips - because I was too lazy to use foil. I was worried this technique would make it bleed - but it didn't bleed at all. And I still have 3/4 of the jar left - so I re apply whenever it fades. Definitely a new fan of Manic Panic. I've only used Special Effects and Ion Brilliants so far - and I prefer the subtlety of Manic Panic over the others. Report Comment
  • This comes out DARK on my hair if not diluted. I'd have thought something called 'cotton candy' would be a light pastel, but not on my head, whether bleached perfectly or imperfectly. Diluted, it's my fave. I just don't get the same results diluting hot hot pink; the difference is subtle but I can notice. It certainly glows under UV for me! Report Comment
  • beautiful pink, especially with blond! but fades sooo quickly! Report Comment
  • I had a new experience ... Put over a yellower blonde than usual - undiluted - and it came out a beautiful saturated pastel! Yay!!! Report Comment
  • Not a bad dye but not the best either. Like others have said, it will fade out of your hair quickly after a few washings. Report Comment
  • Since this is a pastel it does fade quickly, but I also found (as @tbonita did) that it covered a bit yellow-ish base nicely staying a pastel and I even diluted it :) Report Comment
  • when I used this together with electric amethyst, it manages to create a great peachy-pink tone on my not-so-pale-blond streaks. fades to a peachy color on my hair. staying power... 2-3 washes. not bad for a heavily pastel color. Report Comment
  • Fades to a fantastic peachy color in my hair, not brassy at all. For such a pastel it sure does hold its color well even diluted. Report Comment
