Usage

Directions works best on hair that has been pre-lightened to pale blonde. Some paler shades as well as toners will only work on very light hair. Apply directly to dry or slightly damp, freshly washed (but not conditioned hair) using a tint brush for best results, or use gloved fingers to spread the dye evenly through your hair. Allow to process for at least 15 minutes and do not allow to dry out. Rinse thoroughly. To avoid temporary staining to the skin, apply a layer of Vaseline around your hairline and ears before applying the colour.

Reviews of Directions Rubine

  • This was a really nice colour, that turned out a great ruby shade. it started out as very red with purple tones, and faded to a bright red/pink colour it was fun to hear people trying to say if it was red or pink :P Downside is that it faded surprisingly fast for a red. after two weeks it'd gone from quite dark to a rather light (not pastel) red. Great colour if you like canging between red shades, without bleaching it between each time like I do, though :D I rate it a strong three, but not quite a four. Oh, also, this colour turned out TOTALLY different from any sample I'd seen. It's a lot redder than the picture here shows. Think ruby red. Report Comment
  • this hair dye is definitely not red! i recently dyed my hair a burgundy colour but it faded really quickly so i bought this dye to top it up. it looked like a deep red colour with a hint of purple on the colour chart but it is definitely more pink that anything. i'd say its more magenta than rubine! • When you have first dyed it, it's a lovely darkred color that fades out to a strong pink :) It's more dark than in the picture though. I really liked having it in my hair, it looks fantastic with black make up and dark red lips! Report Comment

  • @elisabeth17 first of all you have to bleach your hair... it's not going to hold otherwise. :P Report Comment
  • Really enjoyed this very deep, cool-toned red. I had been hoping for a wine color when I dyed my hair with this, which it wasn't, but I loved it anyway. It also faded to a lovely soft yet bright pink. Report Comment
