Photos of Pastels Hair

Ion Brilliance Brights Salmon faded out. I dyed it again the first week of April, this is the true fade out color without all that extra red I had. I really like this color, by the way, but I was going to have to order it online because my Sally's was always sold out of it.

Current hair, done two weeks ago. They started as "sunset hair", but the peach parts are already almost gone with washes (I did them quite diluted), I'm still undecided about changing it all or adding some more saturated streaks :|

I found a new dye called Sparks, and tried their yellow, since my shop was out of Adore yellow that I used to get. I wanted stripes, white ones horizontal, so this was my application tech. Using conditioner in a bottle with a tiny tip, I made two long rectangles the size of streaks on sheets of Glad Press and Seal plastic wrap. Then I painted streaks inside of conditioner outlines using two different dyes colors. Purple/lavender, aquamarine/green, orange/yellow, or just pink. Over the dye, the part that would touch my hair first, Got a series of horizontal stripes applied in conditioner. Using a magazine for support, I lined up the plastic sheet with my scalp, and applied colored plastic sheets, one at a time, until I had five done. One side had two layers of hair, the under layer protected the color from bleeding through from the top. One for the bangs, and one for the back of my head. After letting them sit for about 30 minutes, I rinsed them out, using cold water. The lavender didn't take at all. The horizontal stripes didn't take. But I had soft pastels, and not a lot of bleeding. I have touched it up twice with simple brush-on colors. I'm thrilled that Adore has some new colors! I'll have to order some, soon. I have some Manic Panic Electric Lizard coming, in the next could of days.

I refreshed the Salmon and Shark Blue (not Rose and Azure). Over the parts that were minty-silver before, I added Salmon. And check it out - now it's the lavender I was shooting for originally! Go figure. :D Then I put my hair in a fauxhawk to show off the purty colors!

I just got into a celtic band, hahaha. I know it doesn't look very funny on that particular photo, but in my defense, it was my first concert so I had to concentrate ^^ Anyway, this is my new lilac hair, and what's really weird is that it looks way darker indoors! I shall upload a photo so you can see for yourselves ;) As for the ratio : 3 soup spoons of Hot Purple + 1 spoon of Violette diluted in a full bowl of cheap conditioner.

diluted down about 2:1, conditioner to color. i think ill dilute it less when i re-apply because i didn't get the greatest coverage on my ends. (they were a little darker to start.)

What the roots/underlayer of my hair looked like when it was just dyed. The fringe is now more or less completely silver with the darker roots peeking through.
