Photos of Blue Hair

My first real attempt at a mix of colors. I separated out chunks and colored with Arctic Fox Aquamarine (turquoise), Poseidon (medium blue), and Purple Rain (purple). The purple shows up a lot more in real life than in this photo. The turquoise and blue are a lot more subtly blended. I like it, but boy, it was a lot of work! This was on top of a turquoise base with freshly-bleached roots. This is more than a week in, and I've shampooed twice at this point and co-washed once. With AF blues, I get some staining on towels and pillowcases at first but not on my skin. Arctic Fox, on me, fades slowly and beautifully. Usually I re-color at about 7-8 weeks, not because I don't like the resulting color, but because my dark blonde roots show up and drive me nuts. My roots bleach easily with diluted 20 developer bleach, and I generally do not re-bleach the rest of it, so it's very healthy still.

So... I wanted to go a green/blue colour. I faded my hair to a baby-blue (leftover lagoon blue and atlantic blue) and added only greens as i know how much my hair loves to suck in blue pigment! I bleached my roots and added the allmost forest green looking dye... and this is what came out. It's not ugly, but HOW AND WHY DOES EVERYTHING ALLWAYS BECOME BLUE WITH ME? :P XD The only part that became 'acceptable greenish blue' is the part of my freshly bleached roots- i guess the rest is too blue stained...

Just A quick 'in between' picture. After christmas I freshened up my hair in a new batch of the super-dark-intense blue! This mix contained a complete jar of the directions midnight blue, a half bottle of royal navy, a little blue black and just two drops of the jet black and some conditioner so I could completely do my whole head with this mixture! In direct sunlight I allmost lit up, whilst inside it looked like a deep and dark navy- exactly what I wanted! This is more then a month later (you can see it faded a little different on my bangs) but it is still a gorgeous colour! I love this :D Hope to add in some green/yellow next time around to go for a more greenish turqoise to prepare for spring :D

Halloween day 2016. I used Manic Panic Ultra Violet mixed with conditioner to achieve a periwinkle blue that fades to silver. I'm in love, this color is so unique.

The turquoise halloween hair. Tried to pull off a happy face while rolling in the leaves, instead ended up looking kinda dead. Oh well. Almost a month old picture this one!
