Frizzy Thick Haired Male:Help!!!!by JetBlazedPosted 3 years, 8 months ago
Im an 18 year old white male and im currently trying to grow my hair out to ponytail length. I used to have really thin shiny blonde hair when i was younger but over the years it has faded out into a realy dirty almost brown-blonde. Its also extremelly thick, stylists usually comment or complain on how thick my hair is. I dont seem to have any kind of habit when it comes to using anything other than shampoo before after or during my showers, so my hair is also really dry. My problem is when i grow my hair out, its so thick that it ends up growing up and out and forms a bowl cut/afro frizz mess. What i want is my hair to grow down and back, as if a current bradd pitt. Should i wear any type of headbands, get any type of treatments or do anything different or to keep growing it?

My hair is naturally quite frizzy, even when it's not bleached/dyed. I find that conditioner is more important than shampoo - I use a silicone-free shampoo once a week, and wash my hair with just water and conditioner two or three times a week. Once a week when I shampoo my hair, I also do a deep conditioning treatment using coconut oil which I leave in for an hour or so. I can't think of anything that will make your hair less thick, but conditioning it well to give it some moisture should help with the frizz. Good luck!

You are really blessed to have long thick hair, many would want to have it as you already blessed with. What I would recommend is to try using a conditioner that is marked as a heart mask, that you can leave in for as mention above, and hour or over night.
What helps is to get it thin out my a salon, and brushing your hair often helps a lot. Leaving your hair and not playing or treating it, is at no use helpfull.
