I'm trying to figure out what my hair curly type is for the purpose of finding products that actually work for my hair. A majority of curl products are either too thick or too drying for my hair, and I think it'd really help to know what the type is. After looking at charts, I think I'm a combination 3a/3b but could really use some outside opinions. Thanks!
I've shared three photos of my hair at different lengths/stages in my washing cycle to paint a more complete portrait of what I'm working with, but I can always share more if needed!
I agree a 3a/b. You might find wavy hair products lighter on your hair.
Looks a bit loose to be for 3a/3b. I'd say 3a, maybe 2c/3a, unless you've got some tight corkscrews hiding in there.
I agree with CyndeeCyanide and think it's looser than 3b. 3b is cork screws whereas 3a is loose curls. Either way your hair is beautiful :-)
It's trial and error finding what works. If something is too thick you can dilute with a little water to loosen it up, that might help. And just use less j guess? Works for me at least. My hair prefers creamy products compared to oily. Loose curls usually prefer lighter products as thick creamy or oily can weigh it down
Didn't realize this post is quite old, sorry! Won't let me delete my comment
