Hello! I am so new here & I just wanted to dive in and show off my hair because I am so happy with it and proud of it. I hope it's OK if I share a bit of my "hair story", so I was very nervous going into it because I hadn't bleached my hair like this in years and I didn't want to spend a fortune on it. I went to a local Paul Mitchell Hair School and was incredibly comfortable there and happy with the results and students. It took 3 days, 2 days of bleaching and the last day for color. 4+ hours each day, so 12+ in total. Bleaching, color, deep conditioning treatment, haircut....all together with tips it was about $250. I was very happy with that. I shudder to think how much I would have paid at a "real" salon considering it took so many bowls to do all my hair.
I am SUPER happy with it. I will definitely be going back to the hair school to get my roots touched up in a few weeks but I'm not sure what to do about color touchups. The school can only use a small range of Inkworks colors, and I want more vibrant/pastels that they can't offer. I'm thinking of asking a friend to help me out. I've had so many people stop me in the grocery store and tell me how amazing and professional my color looks. I just wanna maintain that excellence! Anyway. Looking forward to sharing my hair journey and watching everyone elses! :)
No idea why the photos are sideways and it looks like I can't rotate them, my bad! xoxo

Looks awesome! They did a wonderful job :D If you want more intense colors or more pastel colors or even a greater range of colors I would look into using semi permanent dye, like the dyes sold on this site. They are non damaging, even conditioning in some cases. You can customize by mixing colors and/or diluting the dye with conditioner. If you have the students do the bleaching, then you can go home and dye your hair as you want to, just make sure to apply to clarified hair (shampooed with no silicones), or you can just get your hair bleached or roots done and do the deep conditioning with dye mixed in right after.
I find that semi permanent dyes give me a huge range of colors, plus they aren't as time dependant as say bleach or permanent dyes which use developer. You can take your time applying the semi permanent dye and I normally let it sit for a couple of hours, starting from when I get the dye on the last bits of hair.
I hope that helps! :D"How puzzling all these changes are! I'm never sure what I'm going to be, from one minute to another."

It looks great! I really like the style and the way you've curled it too. Perfect!
Just get your roots retouched at the salon and we'll help you figure out the rest

Welcome! You've come to the right place if you want help with maintenance.
There's a lot of beauty in ordinary things. Isn't that kind of the point?
