Some blacks are green based and some purples are blue based which fade to green. Some purples are red based and fade to pink. A lot of great suggestions already.
And the green is finally gone
I first did another round of colour b4, which took it down to a very light pastel green, but it did yellow the lengths of my hair significantly, and for some reason made it darker than it was before, probably because my hair has been coloured before with a peroxide based toner (dialight 9.11).
Tried a silver semi over the lengths, but that didn’t do much. So I made my own concoction. I had a light silver permanent box dye lying around, normally I’m not a fan of box dye, but this one has given me a great result in the past. I’m pretty sure it comes with 30 or even 40 vol developer, which would be a very bad idea on hair that had not long ago been bleached to almost white. So I decided to use it as a toner, mixed some 10 vol with conditioner 50/50 to get 5 vol (done it before, works fine for me) and mixed it with the silver dye, and it gave me a pretty nice cool light ash blonde that I think I can further tone to silver without too much trouble.
Did that all over and it took down the green even more to a green sheen like blonde chlorine pool hair. Shaded the roots with a mix of Adore honey brown mixed with some drugstore brand plum coloured semi, and I’m more pleased with the result than I thought I would be!
Close up, looks a but yellow here, doesn’t in real life.
your hair came out amazing!
Looks great! I love the colour!
