So here is my question I used ultra violet on my hair and it can out really nicely. I've washed it once since applying it. But I don't know weather my eyes are playing tricks on but it looks like it's faded to a minty green colour. But when I take a pic it looks grey/silver I'm so confused I have taken pics indoors and outdoors. And also when I look in the mirror it's looks really green
It's just the yellow lighting indoors mixed with the strong blue tones in Ultra Violet. If you can't to try to shift it, you can try adding in a tiny dot of pink next time you touch up. I don't seem much green in the second photo, though.
Ok thank you is there a certain pink I should be using? And could reccomend a nice purple as I wouldn't mind going that colour next thanks
Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink works pretty well.
My favorite for purple is Punky Plum (pink-tones) or Violet (blue-tone), but I've heard good things about Ion Amethyst and the One N Only purple. They are all pretty dark, so you'd need to dilute them, though.
Suggest use a purple based shampoo for upkeep. Ultra violet is blue based so yellowing on the hair might cause the appearance of green tint depending on how strong the blue is. Purple colored/ base shampoos mask or hide the yellow from the hair.
Ok thank you for your advice. I will give purple shampoo a go.
Can I buy them purple dyes from here or are they available else where in the uk Thanks again
It's ok I found some of that punky plum on trusty old eBay only £6.99 a tub which is cheaper than manic panic so win win lol
Do think I will have to fade this out more to use punky plum.
I've already got adore African violet isn't that a blue based colour also and won't that fade a green tone? Thanks again
I think you'll be fine to put Plum over what you have. African Violet does fade green, but only really at the very end of the fading. The other two Adore options are pink-based, though.
