My level 2 roots need touching up and my mid lengths and ends also need a refresh. The mid lengths & ends were previously bleached to a level 7 but have since been filled and dyed using a level 5 auburn box dye (bad I know). I’ve since learnt that was not the way to go about it!
I no longer want to bleach my roots and dye them as I have been doing, it’s unnecessary damage. So how do I go about lifting my roots to match the rest of my hair. I’m also not completely sure what level my mid lengths & ends currently are so I’ll include a pic but I’d say it’s around a 5/6. I’m thinking a level 5 is what I want all over, so my roots will need lifting 3 levels, is it possible to do that with just developer and dye? If so will I need to use dye that’s higher than a level 5 for my roots? And then use a level 5 on the rest of my hair?
Overall I want a dark copper red shade, I’ve included some pics of what I’m wanting. Thanks in advance!

I do not know other than there are other ways more slowly to lighten hair. The Articles section might have an article on how wo lighten hair without bleach. A long time ago in this galaxy, actually on Earth too, there was a product called Sun-In. Sun-in contained a little 2% peroxide which with the suns help would slowly lighten hair. I have only used bleach to lighten my roots or hair.
These are my suggestions and opinions.
