Blondme lightener +9 on very dark rootsby SoniachengPosted 2 weeks, 1 day ago
I have very dark hair ( level 4) and very thin. All my hair is already bleached and toned with a 9.1 hair dye, that is the colour I want to have at the moment.
My hair is very damaged, and I only bleach the dark roots, overlapping a little bit the past month roots as they look a bit darker than the rest of my hair. I have quite a lot of hairs broken at the root level, even thought I use the coconut oil method and bleach over coconut oil that apply the night before bleaching.
I use lavigne platin-f 9+ lightener at 30 volumen developer, and tone it at 20 volumen.
I was thinking on switching to blondme lightener+9, as it has Bond Enforcing and It is supposed to break the hair less. But I have read it cant be used any higher than 20 volumen on the scalp. As my hair is very dark I dont know if 20 volumen developer will lighten my hair enough. And I Am scared if I used it with 30 volumen It may break my very thin hair ( redken bleach at 30 volumen breaked my hair a lot).
Can you please advice me? Do you think blondme +9 bleach is worthy? Will it lighten my dark hair roots with 20 volumen developer? ( Any other bleach I have ever use has never lighten my roots lighter than light orange at 20 volumen, and i always use +9 lift bleaches).I cant do múltiple bleaches processes as my thin hair breaks, and I dont want to be left with orange roots.

My natural hair is around the same colour, and I find that I have to use 30 vol with BlondMe. It is quite harsh on the scalp, but I honestly haven't noticed a huge difference when it comes to damage since they've added the bond-enforcing claim to the label. I'd try a strand test first to gauge timing. You might have to make adjustments to the development volume and processing time as you figure out what gives you the best lift with the least damage.
