Dying teal, green and yellow hair lavender or pastelPosted 1 week, 4 days ago
Ive been researching how to tone out my green blue hair. I fee I need different color dye to dye different areas.
I was think of doing manic panic hot pink and diluted it and using purple shampoo.
I would love some help. Please see pictures. Thank you

I think you should be able to get a lavender shade over the green ends with Hot Hot Pink, but I do agree that you'd probably need to go a bit darker for the more yellow areas up top near the brown. A regular lavender shade over that region would probably go silvery or just slightly taupe.

What dye do you recommend for the yellow ?

I personally like Punky Plum as a purple, so I'd just dilute it in a lot of conditioner (like at least 1:5 dye to conditioner, since it's super pigmented), but most brands have a decent purple, so whatever is most convenient for you to get is probably okay. I'd just get the medium or darker purple and dilute it so you have more flexibility in case you need more coverage. Not all dyes are super pigmented, so I'd start with a 1:1 ratio and go from there. Also strand-testing is the best way to check before committing.

Hi everyone, following this. I have turquoise hair it’s faded to minty green but tops still quite bold!! The backs mostly blonde as I only initially applied to roots and it kind of just took to the whole of it! I’m wanting to go back grey, so should I use an orange semi perm or pastel pink over it to cancel the blue/ green, then bleach? Or bleach it out? I also have colour removers but read they don’t touch green?! Thanks for everyone’s help x
