Hair dye is patchy, help me fix pleaseby NiqhtsPosted 1 month, 3 weeks ago
So I had bleached some parts of my hair then dyed them pink. I didn’t like how it looked so I tried to remove the pink colour which faded it to a weird salmon colour (hadn’t bleached my natural hair light enough for the pink), so I used a black hair dye to cover this weird colour because it was the only thing I had at the time (it’s a semi permanent hair dye). My hair isn’t so bad after this but the dye turned out really patchy now I have like really light areas in my hair and really dark areas, how could I fix this and jus get my natural brown colour back. Idk if it looks bad but it’s bothering me and colour corrections can be quite expensive, plus it’s hard finding salons that tailor to my hair type. I’ve tried to fade the black dye but it won’t budge. My hair is textured, like a 4a type?

When did you do the black dye and at what was the dye you used? Usually, semi-permanent dyes will fade down with time and doing a lot of fading treatments in a short period of time usually provides diminishing results. It's a little hard to tell the exact colour with the lighting in these photos, but if it's lighter than your natural colour, you should just be able to cover it up eventually. I'd just try to get out as much black as possible first, because it's always easier to work from a base with less stuff in it.
