Help with my hairby TashhhPosted 2 weeks ago
So.... as a kind friend I let my friend dye my hair blue from blonde to blue for portfolio purposes. I don’t hate the blue but I also don’t love it. My hair is also quite damaged due to 5 years of bleach so would like help on what to do. Is going back blonde a realistic option or I was thinking adding a darker midnight blue toner to make it more black... I’ve added photos of what it is now - I just feet it’s too vibrant for me

Unfortunately, blonde will probably be difficult without growing out your hair. Semi-permanent dyes tends to stain, so it'll likely leave a green-ish tint. That said, it shouldn't be too hard to darken it and make it less vibrant. If you're worried about damage, I'd stick with semi-permanent dyes that don't require any developer. They are basically pigmented conditioners and you can leave them in as long as you like. For black, I like Punky Ebony, which has a muted violet base or the Adore blacks, which have a variety of options. If you want to stay blue, Adore Blue Black is a very deep muted navy,

Agree with my esteemed colleague that is easier to cover over the medium blue then it is to obtain the blonde hair again. Great suggestions were made in the previous post. Since the hair is damaged would also suggest a semi-permanent dye.
These are my suggestions and opinions.
