Went to new person to fix my splotchy bad green hair but now i still have blonde?
Posted 3 weeks, 3 days agoI dont understand i went to another person to fix my splot hy banding horrible green hair. I had a color correction and it cost $200 just for the spot i got done and though yes the color seems more uniformed i still have the blonde spots even though i was so blonde and we removed all my color and made a new green. I dont understand. What could be my problem. This is depressing me. Does this look bad ? Is this normal with green hair? Is pulp riot a bad brande? How noticable is this ? Whats my next step ? Im overwhelmed. I just want one uniformed green not multi tone or patches

First of all, I don't think it the unevenness is extremely noticeable or even looks that bad. We all tend to be more critical of our own hair than anyone else. However, if it's seriously bothering you, it's not too difficult to help blend those areas out.
In general, I think Pulp Riot is a nice brand with good longevity, so the issue is just that those regions of your base are a bit lighter than the rest. The easiest first step is just to try to apply the green to those sections again. You can use Pulp Riot again or you can choose another brand that's more accessible to you. Word of caution, though, most greens nowadays have a lot of blue tones to them, so I'd recommend getting a yellow as well so you can mix a shade that matches well. It's just like mixing paint and the colour in the bowl is usually quite close to what you get on your hair, so you can experiment in small batches and do some strand tests if you want to be extra safe.
When I comes time to dye, I'd recommend applying the dye to clean, dry hair with no conditioner and leave it in at least an hour to allow it to really absorb. I usually do two hours myself, but a semi-permanent dye that doesn't use developer won't damage your hair, so you could leave it on as long as you want.

Is my patches really that bad ? I just want a uniformed color so bad and i been going to salon after salon and i get the same uneven patchy random blonde spots everytime. I even tried touching it up myself qnd same stuff is happening

It just seems like those regions are either lighter because the base was lighter there from overlaps during root touch-ups or your hair just have varying porosity. Have you tried spot-treating just those areas with dye at home by yourself yet? It's not too tricky of a process. If that hasn't worked, it's probably the porosity issue, which isn't super easy to fix, but there are strategies to blend those areas in more to make them look more intentional/less noticeable. The easiest is just to do a gradient. Blues, darker greens, and possibly purples should be able to cover what you have. You can also try giving yourself green "lowlights" which will make the overall look more dimensional so slight differences in certain areas won't be as noticeable.

What was the name of the colour balm product you used? It may not be the same as a direct dye. As I suggested earlier, I think you could consider ordering your own green. I personally think Manic Panic, Punky, Pulp Riot, and Pravana all provide good options for green, though you might want to order both a turquoise and a yellow to give yourself more flexibility. The reason to get a turquoise instead of just a green is that I find they tend to be more pigmented. Since your colourist only leaves the dye on for 15 minutes, I really think doing the colouring yourself and letting it sit covered for at least an hour or even overnight will help some.
Also, I don't really think that water test really tells the whole story. If your hair is long or fine, it will float just because it's not as dense as water. It doesn't really.
In general, please keep discussions on one topic to just one thread. It helps everyone understand what has already been suggested and it will be easier for people who are later searching through the archives for advice to keep track of the story.
