Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have very dark natural hair. I bleached my hair 3 times in the past month and was building up the hair in between bleaches. After the 3rd bleach, it’s started falling out about half way up and breaking off so I’m presuming it’s damage. its not swollen at the roots which is a good sign i guess. Luckily it’s only the underneath of my hair and not on the top but it’s definitely very frail and breaking easily. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or products to help fix it. I’m not totally against going shorter if it means my hair will break less but I’m hoping there may be a way to salvage my long hair. Any opinions would be much appreciated:)

Just so you know, hair doesn't really heal between bleach processes. The damage it does is permanent, so you can usually only process one area a limited number of times.
Generally, once you're at the breakage phase, the best thing to do aside from getting a cut is just to be as gentle as possible. Don't heat style your hair and use a wide-tooth comb to prevent snags. You may need to start combing your conditioner through your hair in the shower, if you don't do it already. Products with protein/keratin can also help build strength, but it can make your hair brittle and easier to break off if you overdo it, so start slow with that. Oils and/or silicone-heavy products can help with smoothness and moisture. You can give Olaplex a try, which helps repair some of the bonds in damaged hair, but it won't bring it back to its original strength and it will not strengthen it enough to withstand another process. I have personally not seen a lot of results from it, but it's quite popular and others like it, so it's worth a try.

Hi, sorry for your hair - if you have the means, I suggest using either Olaplex (n°1 and/or 2 - I've tried 3 and 2 and found only the 2 to have some visible effect on my hair), or professional products such as from the Redken Extreme line or Kerastase Resistance Mask Force Architecte (both lines are meant for hair with breakage problems). Good luck!
