Trying to be a light silver platinum blonde, I’m almost there but help!Posted 2 weeks, 3 days ago
So I love love matrix I live by it, I recently switched just my bleach to swarzkoph blondme and I love using it on my clients! It’s great and awesome extreme lift to whatever I need! So my issue here is i have been so busy with catching up With my clients that my roots have grown out so much I usually get an extremely heavy foil and I usually only do a partial on the top where my crown is and the sides of my head, it’s quick, I can do it and I get by because I wear my hair down alot. I really wanted to go even more blonde, eventually fade all my hair out underneath that was brown and lightly highlighted. I also have been having fun during quarantine V using fun conditioner colors that wash out nicely, unfortunately I used Pravana conditioner color deposit for a silver tone and it is basically blue.... I was fine with it for a couple of days but now I really want to just be a cool platinum silver blonde... I bought Malibu crystals and rescue kit that has the two little packets of a color correction for unwanted tones and a mask for when you are done... first I did the crystals mixed it with water like it says and nothing happened. Then I tried the packeT that’s in the rescue kit and again it did nothing.. I said screw it i hate my roots and I always wanted to be super light and platinum and foils just take way too long. So after performing all the ways to get the silver conditioner that just grabbed onto my hair out I gave up and I bleached my roots ? I know you get to the “oh crap moment” and you need to let it take and get those hot roots lifted enough so you can put the perfect toner on it . It didn’t go to well... I kept reading online articles instead of just doing what I thought was best, I got scared and changed my original plan.... so I used Schwarzkopf blondeme bleach with 30% developer and it wasn’t irritating at all but I only had it on about 15 mins made sure not to overlap my existing blonde and it’s just a mess. I used my go-to toner by matrix 10V ColorSync with 10volume and let it sit for about 35 mins it always comes out so beautiful on my clients. While it’s down it looks OK but I can still see that extreme golden hue and I can’t stand it. I really need some advice, I want to go back in with blondor by Wella with a 20% volume and do one quadrant at a time and just take my time and watch it, my hair feels good It dosent seem in a fragile state which I have witnessed being a hairdresser over 12 years... I’m nervous the Yellow won’t go away, and they are out of 10V everywhere so I just got the 10P instead which I think would look okay since some of the silver is like ombré’ from my mid shaft to my ends. Here’s a picture, someone help! Lol I need advice

Yeah, I think you need a re-bleach and re-tone on your roots, but I feel like 20 volume with Blondor might go too fast, especially given how close to the scalp you are. I probably wouldn't do BlondMe on myself, just because I feel like it would lift too fast to get even coverage, but if you're fast enough at application, maybe it wouldn't be too bad. I don't know much about Matrix toners, but 10P looks like it's more of a pinky colour, which would probably be closer to white compared to 10V's silvery look. Not sure how obvious the difference would really be, but I feel like "pearl" formulas are usually really weakly pigmented.

Hi, I am used to using blondme on my daughte (level 5 to platinum)r; I have needed to correct yellow in the past, I do it with Blonde and 7 volume, but more diluted than normal like a 1 to 2.5 or even 1 to 3 ratio, and bond builder, I leave it not too long (15 minutes), and it hasn't caused any breakage.
