Patchy bleach - what next?by laulaulauPosted 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I posted earlier this week: I have bleached with 20vol and blondme today. I left my roots til last but it’s gone super patchy! Some bits haven’t lifted at all and my roots are quite orange compared to the lengths. I have really thick hair and I soaked it in coconut oil so it was kind of difficult to see where I’d applied?
Any advice, it was my first time with blondme and it smells lovely and my hair feels great (I know damage takes a month to show)

Hi, I don't see any orange on the picture, but I know pictures are not always very reliable to show colors... have you considered spot-bleaching to make it more even? you need to be meticulous, take fine sections and work section by section. brave to have tried, I only go by foils on my own hair.

I agree, I only really see the few dark patches, but there's nothing to do aside from just spot-treating the,. Try not to overlap as much as you can, as it looks like everything else is fairly light, so you might get bright white patches surround warmth if you go more haphazardly. If your hair is relatively thick, I'd pre-section your hair into thin vertical slices. It can be a pain, but it'll help you apply much faster and make it way easier to see what you have left.
