Why is my blonde going green?by Taylar_28Posted 5 days, 17 hours ago
So I recently bleached my hair and have the goal of going platinum/white. I’ve been using L’Oréal Ever pure purple shampoo. BUT my ends are getting turned green and I don’t know how to fix it

Hey! I have some suggestions that may help. I have never gone platinum before but I have dealt with greenish-blondish hair whilst trying to dye my hair blue. My first suggestion would be to try a different purple shampoo. Jhirmack's brand of purple shampoo is pretty inexpensive. I like it and I've heard a lot of people rave about it as well. My second suggestion would be to try and find a purple conditioner. I've never used one before but it might help. My third suggestion would be toner. Now, I've never used a toner for green hair because the purple shampoo seemed to solve it for me, but my best suggestion would be Wella Color Charm in T14 or T18. However, I HIGHLY suggest you speak to someone at your local beauty supply store or speak to a hairdresser to help you with picking the right toner. I'm not sure if either the T14 or T18 would work for green tones, it's just my best guess. My last suggestion would be ketchup. Yes, ketchup. I've personally never tried this before but I've seen other people on YouTube try it and apparently it works. That's up to you if you want to try it though. I can't say I blame you if you don't want to haha. Hope these will help!

Thank you so much for the advice! I’ve also been using purple shampoo as well. It just seems like it keeps getting greener every time I wash my hair. I’ve used the t18 and it helped a little. I’ll try and ask a hairdresser as well. But thank you! And I’ve heard about using ketchup, I’m a little skeptical though

No problem! Yeah, if that's the case then maybe try switching purple shampoos, like I mentioned. Maybe that one isn't working for your hair.
Maybe try out the T14 then. You might have better results with that!
I was a little skeptical about the ketchup thing too but I thought I'd make the suggestion as more of a last resort haha
- Dark Olive Green dye
- Wanted ash brown, but got a very red (dark) brown. I'm going to do Color Oops tomorrow, but what next? "Tone" whatever color is revealed with a green dye? Use a permanent brown dye again?
- Color remover left my natural root go green !?!?!?
- 50 shades of green.... why?
- Over processed hair, want my blonde back. Please help!
