Blue, Pink, now blonde?by maceydcareyPosted 6 days, 2 hours ago
Let’s just get right into it. So I tried going pink first On top of my natural hair (ion) Then I bleached my hair then did the mermaid hair with various colors of which were many different blues(ion. I let that fade a while then tried to go pink and It was horrible! Grey and blue with pink orange roots. So not I’m trying to go blonde... the thing is, is that I decided to bleach my hair and I did 30 min 30 vol developer then tried a color remover (ion) it seemed to make my hair super frizzy and now very light with light blue parts and a few pink roots. Please do not tell me to leave it alone cause I feel horrible with the color. I’d almost rather be bald.

I'm not sure you'll be able to get that last bit of green out without massively damaging your hair. Ion blues can be extremely sticky and what you have now is probably embedded pretty deep under the cuticle, so it'll take a lot of damage before you can get it out. Bleach also isn't amazing at getting out semi dyes, in my experience, but you could try a strand test on just the green areas and see if it works to lift at all. If not, don't bother with it, as it will probably just make the green brighter because it will lift your hair's natural pigments to white. At the end of the day, you'll probably still need to put a blonde dye over everything, but I would not recommend doing so until your base is somewhat even. Otherwise, it will just highlight the differences.
If you look in the Articles section, you can find Katie's fading treatment, which uses bleach powder, but not developer. You could try a strand test of that as well, but I would not put it all over without testing. It does have lifting capabilities and can do some damage, like bleach, so you don't want to do it unless you know you can get the results you want with an acceptable level of damage.
