Can someone please help guide me with fixing blonde at home!?by Bailey883031Posted 3 months ago
I will attach a pic of my hair now and what i want to achieve. After doing some research im wondering if a high lift color could lift my roots, then another highlift color not as bright to lift my already highlighted hair, and then a good toner could get me to my desired look at home? I was also thinking maybe a bleach wash? Although it doesnt really look it in the photo my hair is actually decently healthy and ive always been told it takes bleach really well. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?? Anything is appreciated! Thanks!

Hello, this is a huge job; if you aren't familiar with blonding your hair, I wouldn't try it on my own. Your hair looks too dark to get anything near such a blonde with highlight color; you would need bleach, and it is difficult to do at home without getting patchy. the picture on the right is professionally done, and a very good professional & blonde specialist.
If you really want to do something, get some bleach developper and foils, and learn to do highlights on your self. Start with one to see how it goes, you can do some little by little, there are many diy videos on youtube. You would also need a toner to tone the hair at the end, probably a violet based toner. Diy highlightingt can be tricky with bleeders if the bleach mixture is not thick enough, patchiness if sections are too thick, and harsh lines if the painting near the scalp is not blended enough.
this is only my opinion; it can be different if you have a helping hand (I would be able to do something similar and have done so on a friend of my daughter's while not being a professional, but not on myself). Some do overall bleach on their own, so in the end it is up to you. Good luck!
