Multi color/dimension ideas for bleached blonde?by xwwdPosted 1 week, 4 days ago
Hi everyone, I've got bleached level 9/very light blonde hair, just past shoulder length and lots of hair. I just bought (quite) a few Manic Panic and I'm thinking of doing multi color/dimension hair color, just wondering what combination of colors and methods do you recommend? I'm open to any suggestions at this stage (full head, half head, highlights etc.)
List of colors I've got (number in the bracket is the recommended hair level for the color):
Blue/purple/grey: Alien Grey (L10), Electric Amethyst (L10), Atomic Turquoise (L10), Lie Locks (L9), Bad Boy Blue (L9)
Green: Mermaid (L10), Green Envy (L8), Enchanted Forest (L7)
Red/pink: Cotton Candy Pink (L9), Pillarbox Red (L8), Fuchsia Shock (L8), Cleo Rose (L8), Infra Red (L7)
Orange: Psychedelic Sunset (L8)
Thank you kindly! :D

I don't know if I agree with all the recommended levels, but I think you have more than enough dyes to do a lot of different options, and even more if you mix. If you check out the gallery on this site, you can see a bunch of options for doing different colour schemes in the Pastel and Multi-Coloured galleries.
I've personally done a lot of multi-coloured scheme, and I think a really good starting point is a sunset gradient starting with purple at the roots (you can mix Atomic Turquoise or Bad Boy Blue and Cleo Rose or Fuchsia Shock for this) and blending into a red, orange, then yellow. This grows out pretty elegantly if you have darker roots and is fairly easy to execute. The premixed purples you bought are softer in tone, so I think it's better to mix your own in this case to get a nice saturated shade.
If you don't mind something a bit more technical, Jude wrote some great articles about making different colour combinations and how to mix your own shades.
