Blonde enough for platinum?Posted 7 months, 1 week ago
Pewh! After 5 or so years of hot pink hair, I decided to bleach bath it to go platinum blonde and to my surprise, all the pink hair dye came out in one go! There were really years of layers in there! The ends seemed to be a tiny bit stained - not pink but they were almost a super light beige blonde.
Today I retouched my roots since it’s been around 5 weeks since I went blonde, and I ran a quick bleach bath through my ends. There’s a few strands in the very back that I feel are a bit too golden, so I might have to give them a low vol bleach touch up.
But to my question! Is the hair more or less ready for some toner to go platinum? These pictures are taken in different lights just to try to show what I’m working with. I don’t want to tone it too heavy if it’s not there yet since my hair tends to go green when bleaching over toner. I just feel that i some lights it’s not lightened enough. Maybe I’m being paranoid lol. Feels great to be back in the forum by the way! xx

I think everything is overall able to be toned, but it looks like you have some spots that are a tad darker than your ends, so everything might not look totally even. Your ends are really light, though, so I'm not sure how practical it would be to do another process on the lighter areas. It might be easier just to use a slightly less strong mix on your ends so the transition is a bit subtler.

@vivienne Thanks for the reply! That’s a good idea, I’ll give it a go :) I don’t really want to bleach and lighten my already bleached hair too much so maybe I should just tone it and try to even it out now and wait!
