Bleached hair; The ends fell off!by MljisPosted 6 months, 3 weeks ago
I've had grey hair for 2 years and then i colored it into dark brown for at least 6 months so it could be easier to treat. I also cut my hair up to my shoulders except the front part because i was trying to grow it the same lenght as hair in the back. Last tuesday i bought bleach and colored my hair and it all turned out normally. Due to orange tones i bleached my hair once again on friday and when i washed my hair, the front part started to break. (If i pulled it a bit of hair would just stay in my hands) Otherwise hair in the back was perfectly fine. I still want to get my hair to be grey but im afraid that ill mess it up even more. Is it possible that my front hair was just too damaged and its ends should be cut off before i bleached my hair? Would it be okay if i colored my hair grey in 2 to 3 weeks?

What type of dye do you use for grey? If it's semi-permanent (does not require mixing), you should be okay to proceed.
However, I would not touch your ends with anything that requires peroxide (developer) going forward. Hair doesn't really heal from bleach damage, though there are plenty of ways to make it look and feel better over time. It just doesn't have the same structural integrity, so it can't withstand harsher treatments, even if it feels healthy. You might find a trim helps the look and feel of your hair, but it's up to you.

I use dyes from Color Freedom. I usually buy silver blonde shade.

Honestly stop messing with it, just take care of your hair and deal with the tone you’re at the moment you’ve got past the point of return
