Hair is falling out???Posted 1 year, 6 months ago
~~~Posting this again because I think I put it in the wrong forum thingy~~~
Two days ago I went to get highlights from my regular hairstylist, as I do once every six months or so (if that, I don't do a lot of stuff to my hair). The appointment had been going pretty smoothly until she put me under the heater for my hair to process. I believe she left me under there way longer than what she should have, as I got a pretty bad chemical burn on my scalp (which I definitely felt happen but just thought the foils got hot so I didn't really notice the burn until that night). I thought that was it until just a couple hours ago, I got out of the shower after washing my hair for the first time since she did it, and my hair started falling out. Luckily, I have thick hair but I have lost well over a fourth of my hair!!! The parts that haven't fallen out are super crunchy/stiff and have broken off considerably.
Is there anything I can do to save whats left of my hair and keep it from also breaking off/falling out? Or is it all going to fall out???? Trying not to have a nervous breakdown ahah!!!
(Also, do you guys know if I should put anything on the chemical burn?)
Suggest when washing the hair be gentle and use cold to very cold water. Also suggest a moisture rich shampoo. When drying the hair suggest let the hair air dry to give time for the hair and scalp to absorb moisture that was lost.
you can use calophyll oil on your scalp, it should help repair the skin.
