Dyed my hair a perminate red and now i want to go to a multishade blueby mommieof2Posted 6 months, 2 weeks ago
I dyed my hair with got 2 be metallic ruby red and now i want to go to a multishade layered blue color. I need tips or tricks on lighting it. I haven't bleached my hair in about three or so years and have cut it short twice since then i did use a natural lightener on it to make the color pop when i dyed it red though.

For permanent dyes (one you mix with developer), you generally want to start with a colour remover like Colour B4 or Colofix to get out as much as you can with more limited damage than bleach. You'll most likely still need something like bleach down the road, but be careful to rinse enough, as the peroxide can re-darken your hair after a colour remover. Read the colour remover section in the article below for tip. You generally want minimal orange tones for a blue. Pink is usually okay, but a lot of orange will make it come out a bit muddy.
