Cerise pink/purple to lilac?by JpashPosted 6 months, 3 weeks ago
Where to begin.... I had platinum blonde hair and coloured over it a pastel lilac which didn’t go to plan ....ended up royal blue ,no idea why this happened ! So then I decided to avoid bleaching and remove the colour the best I could without and managed to get it to an aqua green. I went to my salon(by this point I had colour corrected using a pink mask but faded out back to a pale baby blue) and they bleached my roots and left the ends ...they added lilac directions to my roots and flamingo to the ends which resulted in two tones so they added the pink to the roots and now I have got pink hair which has multi tones of purple What on earth can I do to get it a pale purple(cool tone) rather then hot flamingo pink ??? They suggested to use fudge violet shampoo to keep the green from coming back?
Any suggestions ?

Multi tonal hair is hard to change to monochromatic (one color). Suggest spot dye the pink hair with a pastel blue dye or a mixture of a lot of conditioner and a very small amount of blue semi-permanent dye. This might be able to get a more even but nor completely one shade of purple. Another suggestion is patience and suggest in the Articles Section an article on 10 ways to remove unwanted color. Then when the hair is a pastel pink to light pastel pink then apply a pastel purple or lilac colored semi-permanent dye.
With the amount of pink, medium pink, that was in the hair, I strongly believe the green is not coming back. A purple based shampoo deposits tiny bits of purple onto the hair to help hide any yellow within the hair. With the current multi-purple toned and pink toned hair likely a purple based shampoo will over time make the purple and pink a little darker.
Sad to say because of the previous medium pink hair unlikely will achieve a cool toned light purple. Pink based purples are warm toned and blue based purples are cool toned. Though certain some day will get a cool toned purple.
Good luck. These are my suggestions and opinions.

Thankyou ,I was baby pink before I ended up all these multi tones so I know how quick it can fade out so I’m just going to stay patient and keep fading it out .now I’m just terrified it will fade out all weird colours with how many tones I’ve had in my hair ....Thankyou for the advice :)
