Maintaining peachy pink while combating oranges?Posted 8 months, 3 weeks ago
Hello! I hope you are all staying cool and hydrated this summer!
My last dye job was an intentional peachy pink. I used Arctic Fox Electric Paradise (diluted) after bleaching to a level ~9. I did not use toner before dyeing. I loved the result, it was exactly what I wanted, but as time goes by, each condition+dye job tints it more and more orange-y. I'd assume this is because I'm just depositing more and more warm color over an already warm base and exacerbating the issue.
My question is, how can I maintain this type of pink, rather than adding to the orange levels? I value my upkeep regimen and don't want to let it get sad and gross. Would changing to a purple-based pink dye (say, Virgin Pink) in my conditioner mixes help out at all? Do I need to just start fading it out at this point? Any help is appreciated!

Yeah, I think a diluted bit of Virgin Pink as your top up colour in your conditioner or just the next time you touch up your colour should pull it back where you want it. It sounds like the cooler toned pigments are washing out faster while the warmer toned ones are staying in your hair, so it's shifting the colour gradually over time.
