Green to grey or grey to greenby KvengeancePosted 2 years, 6 months ago
I'm looking to go grey and have it fade to green. I've been wanting to go to a dark grey color but haven't had luck finding one. I also wouldn't mind a dark foresty green. I'm looking for dyes with more of a yellow undertone but not so much a blue one. I've been looking at Arctic Fox phantom green and Iris green, lunar tides, and iroiro. Thanks in advance!

Arctic Fox Silver on my white hair resulted in a dark silver. I did not like the faded result of Arctic Fox Silver which was an olive green or army green. This was the first time and only time a dark silver faded to a green shade on myself. No other brand of silver faded to a green shade. Since indicated want a gray to fade to green then suggest try Arctic Fox without dilution.
This is my suggestion.

Definitely do the grey first, it will be easy to fade out and then go green. Pravana Smokey Silver or Pravana Starbight Silver would be your best bet for a warmer toned grey. There's also Pravana Black to add to the mix, though I haven't tried it with silver. Adore Platinum and Crazy Color's Slate are good too, but more on the blue side than the others. It depends a lot on the contributing pigment in your hair, so while a lot of silvers can look very blue in the bottle, their results can be quite different.
