Purple to blue on lower half of hairby Kayla04009Posted 1 year, 3 months ago
Hi everyone! I need help lol! So I'm pretty poor and got my taxes back recently and I've always wanted a crazy color hair. I went to a salon and she bleached the bottom and put a pretty dark brown on roots then purple over the bleached part. I didn't want completely fried hair so 1 that's why i went to a salon and 2 why I chose darker purple so I wouldn't have to go super white. My hair is super hard to lift anyways. Soooo ya she fucked it up! She cut it like 5 inches shorter than i wanted and didn't say anything but I'm not stupid, she did this because she did fry my hair! Then it was basically very light auburn which I could've done myself at home for WAY less but like I said before, I'm so terrified of bleach lol! So I always knew with colors like that they fade super quick and am fine with it ( I planned to go to Sally's and get a few colors for when this happened to switch it up) but 1 I only wash my hair 2 times a week and use good shampoo and conditioner so honestly in the month I've had this purple it's hardly faded. Did i mention that when i left the salon I had a line all the way around my friggin head where neither the brown nor purple stuck, the cut was 5 inches shorter which luckily I actually LOVE but it's not what i asked for. All the girls who worked there were all talking about the line of light auburn around my head saying when i come back (which i told her from the jump i couldn't do since I'm poor) that she'd fix it! I'm sorry but Idk why she didn't fix it RIGHT then. You shouldn't spend 300 bucks between the price, tip and products and walk out of a salon feeling emmbarassed! I wore my hair up from that night on for like a week until I dared to wash it. Like i said it hasn't faded really except that damn line bugs the shit out of me! I want to be proud of my hair not embarrassed! So i got a blue...got2b in BLUE MERCURY. at Wal-Mart, Sally's is pretty far from my house but it's on you awesome ppl out there! Should I just throw this over the purple and cross my fingers? At least that stupid line will be gone and I'm up for experimenting with mixing colors so if it doesn't come out that blue I'd be ok with that. OR do I go to Sally's and if so what EXACTLY do I get? I'm terrified of bleach and it's not all of my hair so I'm not sure I'd cover the purple evenly and don't have help. I can ask my husband tho lol! PLEASE someone HELP!!! Sry I have a habit of making a short story long ha ha! I couldn't just asked if that blue would work or go to Sally's I'm just devastated by spending all that money to have WAY shorter hair than I asked for and THAT DAMN LINE AROUND MY HEAD!!!!! Thanks and lots of love you guys!!!!! If anyone needs a pic to see what I mean let me know!

hello, could you post a picture of your hair? what is it's natural color like? is the auburn banding your natural color or has is been lifted wit bleach by the hair dresser? why are you adding blue if you already have dark brown and purple? what color was the hair under the purple (i.e. after the hair-dresser bleached it but before applying the purse)? I would expect direct dyes to work better on bleached hair. for blue to work you hair has to be light enough, so you might need to bleach the auburn hair - but please note that this will probably fade out the purple, at least some of it.
- The GREEN won’t budge. - One dye job, 7 questions. Bleaching Out the Green, Bleaching roots or ends first, bleaching damp hair, green making purple muddy, colors that cover green, Toner before direct dye, how to prevent bleeding in multicolor direct dye.
- How to do dark roots but keep light everywhere else
- Wrong purple, I'm not sure what to do.
- Dark Blue to Light Blue. (Navy Blue to Baby Blue)
- so i want something new, im thinking peakaboos
