Hi fellow color lovers I'm looking for a good temporary hair dye. I mean.. something that really goes out and does not stain. It's ok if it takes a few washes but it should just go out again. I have blonde hair, it takes up colores well. I have colored my hair before by a professional and it was semi permanent and blue. Of course it didn't go out, I didn't expect that anyways. Now I'm back to blonde for a few months and want to change it up. I googled a lot but so many pages seem sponsered.. Which dyes are any good? I'm going for soft colors like a lavender or light pink or rose or something like that. Something for a night out or a few days. I've read many reviews about the colorista from l'oreal but they seem to stain blonde hair.
Thank you :)
Most dyes i've tried stick around pretty tightly. The only ones that I can think of being quick to go would be Ion pastels. There's a Rose Pink that's very pretty and washes out easily. You could also try color depositing conditioners like Overtone.
I've heard Ion's Orchid lasts for ages though, have you tried that one @Mrs_Loony? I have a tube of it in my stash but haven't got round to using it yet.
If your hair is really light blonde @lapera, you can play around with very light pastel lavenders and pinks. Most will be fully washed out within about 2 weeks. Don't be tempted to bleach them out though, as many violet-based colours will turn green if you oxidise them. If your hair isn't extremely light then these pastels won't work well and you'd have to use a darker colour. However, darker colours last longer.

I was really only talking about the pastel colors like Rose Pink, Lavender, and Azure. But I have tried Ions Radiant Orchid. It's a maroonish purple that faded pretty quickly. But it's a deeper color so might stain lighter hair.
I don't know where you're based but in the UK we have bleach London who have some pastel colours which wash out quickly and act more like a toner in that sense. I'd probably start with very pale toners or even a silver shampoo if you fancy going lilac all you have to do is leave it on for maybe half an hour before washing it out. Or you could add a drop of colour to conditioner and use that. Start really light and see how you go. I've found pastel peach and pinks come out pretty easily... this is my experience though. Also it's always worth doing a strand test before you do your whole head you could always do that and wait a few washes if you can be patient :-)
Avoid trying light blues or greens. They might stain the hair a minty green color for a good while.
