Blonde to Brown and back again (slower)by Mrs_EPosted 1 year, 8 months ago
Hoping for some advice to check I'm not going bonkers! I am a dark brown but spent nearly 10 years as a blonde always done at the hairdresser. Went back to dark with a tint again at the hairdresser and I know it definitely wasn't permanent. After a few months got bored so decided to bleach. I KNEW I would go orange as I am so dark so prepared by bleaching once and got to a very bright orange stage. Then popped a demi light brown in it leaving me with a brown with coppery/red tones. I know that it needs another bleach but didn't want to bleach twice close together. My hair prior to home bleach has always been in really good condition. After the bleach it was obviously dry but I've been using deep conditioning treatments. My plan is to leave it a month and then want to do another stage of bleaching. I was thinking maybe I could use a Colour remover (no bleach) hopefully taking me back to orange, and then re-bleach and tone (if lightened enough). Does this seem like a sensible option. I am now wondering if I have undone all the bleach work with the demi dye? My only concern is my hair is pretty porous! Any advise would be really appreciated!

the demi-dieu should just fade away anyhow; if you use a clarifying shampoo it will fade faster, and you should get back to your previous post-bleach orange stage. if your dark brown was also color and not natural hair-color, it could be a good idea to try a cool remover instead of bleach.
