Platnium hair to more natural blondePosted 1 year, 9 months ago
Hello I've been dyeing my hair blonde almost a year now Recently the tone used on my hair made my hair platinum almost white blonde. I thought thats what I wanted but realise it's just not for me. Wayyy too bright. So I want to dye my hair for at least 1 or 2 levels down. To be more of a warm blonde like in the picture. Could I achieve it at home or do I need to go to a professional just like I did for the past year? And if so..how do you change from platinum to 2 levels down? More of a natural looking blonde?

A person could dilute heavily a semi-permanent yellow dye with a lot of conditioner and mix the two together. Then apply the mixture to a very small strand of hair as a strand test to see how long to leave on hair.
A person could apply a light beige blonde hair dye by Adore since the second photo could consider a natural color.
These are my suggestions.

I'd agree that I would try to stick with semi-permanent dyes that don't require developer, as it looks like your hair may have sustained a bit of damage from lightening.
Natural blonde is relatively hard to achieve, since it's got more visible colour variation than darker shades, so it can look a bit too flat just throwing a shade onto a super light bleached base.
If you want to try it out for yourself, I'd probably try using two shades, probably a neutral level 8 and 9 and look up techniques for lowlights. You don't need a lot of darker strands, but they do need to be interspersed amongst the lighter regions to give it the dimension of natural blonde hair.
