I figured this wouldn't work, but not to this extent! I put Directions Ebony on my roots. I put conditioner at the ends to try to block them from getting stained. I ended up with a light teal! NO BLACK AT ALL!!
Now, I knew that Ebony does have a green-blue base to it, but I thought it would show up on fade, not that it just wouldn't be black at all.
I like teal, so that part I can deal with. I also know I could mix in some purple or something to make it a little warmer - but is there a better black??

Arctic Fox Black has been a good black for me.
Just to clarify, this was on bleached hair? That's really strange.
You could try something like Crazy Color Natural Black on top of it. It has a reddish plum base which would help hide the teal. Pravana Black is also a good all-rounder for coverage.

Maybe also the color did not grab. I would suggest wait at least two weeks and try again. In the mean time wash with cold water and rinse with cod water to help close the platelets on the hair shaft. When the platelets on the hair shaft are fully open, hair can not grab onto color and hair is not stained well.
This is my opinion. Best of luck.
