Hi! I dyed over my green with punky colours purple in hopes that it would shift my color a bit warmer, and after it faded I'm still left with green, but this time with hints of silver. Is there any way that I could just go with a hot pink to cover it? It is definitely stained green at this point, and I just want this color to go away.
I have a little bit of atomic pink left as well as some virgin rose. I have direct access to flamingo pink by punky colours as well as any ion shades and manic panic hot hot pink. Whatever I do I'll likely mix in the remainer of my atomic pink for some extra coverage power. Any suggestions on the brand/shade? Is this a bad idea? I just want the green gone so I look cool at a David Byrne concert in two days. You all understand.
First pic is direct sunlight, second is indoors.
Please. What brand of green hair dye was used to get the current green hair? Thank you.
I think a lighter green hair then the current shade of green hair would provide better results and more pink results. Pink/red and green are opposite each other on the color wheel. Red and green on very light shades can cancel each other out. On darker shades of red added to green a mix of colors results including red.
Great suggestions by @Dizzinea Also would suggest a strand test with virgin rose or some other dark pink.
These are my suggestions and opinion.
This is a result of very faded Jade by ion. I love the color, but the staining is an unfortunate side effect. If you dilute it heavily, it shouldn't stain quite so bad if at all. I think that was my mistake!
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll order the directions color and just cover it with my virgin rose for now. I don't have very much left, so any suggestions for manic panic or ion purples to mix it with? I could grab the punky colours purple again, but the tones were just not warm enough and I ended up with blue hair.
I think I might go with a warmer pink or more pinkish red to mix in with the Virgin Rose, as it's not that far off from Punky Purple on its own. I think you'd probably end up with a straight purple.
