i just colored my hair with majirel 6.45 dark copper mohogany blonde my hair was very faded pink and a bunch of my dark blonde roots growing in i followed the mixing instructions exactly but for some reason the dye didn't take the very top of my head is tinged red but other then that my hair stayed the same. i'm seriously pissed box dyes barely work on my hair and i chalked that up to being cheap but this was suppossed to be salon quality brand and i'm 9/10ths sure i followed the instructions correctly. Anybody got any idea's why this didn't work?
What strength of developer did you use?

it depends of the initial level of your hair : if it's much lighter than the target color, you need to pre-pigment your hair. The dye works best with hair of the same level or very close, so 5_6_7 level hair would be fine for the color you chose, but you need to pre-lighten if its much dart (or use higher peroxide for level 4), and pre-pig if your are levels 8 9 10.
my hair is dark blonde probably a level 6 i had some residual pink in my hair but it was mostly faded all my hair at the top was my natural color the dye i used is also a 6 i will say now that it's been a few days my hair does look darker then before however not the color i want and not what the swatch looked like for this particular color i'm going to redo it and try again but if not then i will buy a different color
