I used ColorZap to remove black box dye, so I could dye it red. I did 2 applications about 24 hours apart. I have been heavily conditioning my hair since then. My hair is very dry and frizzy. I'd like to do a couple hot oil treatments, but can't use coconut oil (allergic to coconut). Would olive oil give the same benefit? And are there any other suggestions for restoring my hair to softness? (I have thick, somewhat coarse hair)
Olive oil would be o.k, Argan Oil is another one you could try that I think is better.
What about just wetting the hair and letting the hair air dry? This gives time for the hair and scalp time to absorb moisture that was lost. This is a suggestion.
Avacado oil is pretty good.

Thanks guys! I do let my hair air dry most of the time. It's still dry and frizzy, and knots at the tips. But it is slowly getting better. I have avocado oil, I will try that.
