Trying to get smokey purple, ended up with patchy purple and grey... what next?by bethbarlow3Posted 1 year, 11 months ago
Hi all I have attached some photos of the current state of my hair, both sides and back. Brief time line of what happened: - green hair 'venus envy' by manic panic - Decided I wanted smokey purple hair... tried fading colour with bleach london washing out liquid which didn't really work, so bleached full head and left with minty green - applied pink, got a nice purpley colour - this started to fade to grey - applied manic panic purple haze, hoping it would fade out to a grey/purple - this didn't happen.... it faded to patchy grey and purple -consulted hair dresser who said to wash daily with vosene, colour has become even more patchier and not much lighter. There are many different colours showing through - grey, green, dirty blonde, purple and blue.
So my question is, is it possible to get smokey purple and what steps would you recommend it take? If this is not possible, what colour would you recommend to cover the current colour (hair dresser said no more bleach). I'm in the bridal party of a friends wedding in a few weeks, the theme is navy blue, gold and dusty pink so I want my colour to be something complimentary.
Please help, I've been messing about with my hair for about 6 months and I'm at my wits end :(
Edit: Just uploaded the pics and they don't really show the full extend of the patchiness. The purple block in the middle is more prominent in real life, with greenish/grey ends, grey roots and random blue bits throughout.
