Best products for repairing and maintaining bleached hairby Sky_NocturnaPosted 1 year, 11 months ago
I've finally managed to bleach my hair to a super pale blonde. I'm so excited but I've never had blonde hair so I'm not sure how to maintain it or keep it looking full and healthy! Right now I'm using Blonde Me toning shampoo and One n Only color depositing conditioner treatment alternating with a sulfate free coocont and shae butter shampoo and conditioner. I've got a Not Your Mother's leave in conditioner and One and Only argan oil restorative mask.
I'm not sure about the combo yet since its only been a week. What are your fave products for strengthening and maintaining white blonde hair?

For me i like to use the not your mothers blond moment purple shampoo(it works better than shimmering lights and one and only in my opinion)with the NYM way to grow anti breakage conditioner it works good to keep my hair silver and strong also to keep it strong for a long time use ION reconstructer its a protein treatment that you apply to wet hair for 10 minutes and it only cost $11 at sallys beauty. I immediately noticed a difference in my hair strength after useing the reconstructer i highly recommend it and i use it like 3 times a week and my hair feels like its never been bleached. I bleached my hair 4times in 2weeks with 30vol so it was hard to manage and breaking off and the reconstructer is the only thing that saved my hair

Thank you! Do you usually use a conditoner after your protein treatments? I was told not too but I don't really like the way my hair feels without conditoner. I super appreciate your feedback!

yes definitly use a conditioner that is protein free after the treatment, make sure its just hydrating and check the ingredients that there is no protein, most of us find that we need moisture after a treatment

Already many great suggestions.
Protein treatments will cause the hair to be more dry after treatment. Strongly suggest a conditioner without protein and with plenty of moisture. Also suggest let the hair air dry to give time for the hair and scalp to reabsorb lost moisture.
The generic brand of Shimmer Lights from Sally's in the US has worked well for me to help hide the unwanted yellow that will appear on very light blonde hair.
Always a fan of the 50/50 look. Great job!
These are my suggestions and opinion.

I use Fudge silver schampoo which is by far the best I have ever used and then I am also using Olaplex for dying and keeping the hair from damaging!
