Hey everyone! So I currently bleached my black hair which left it to a blonde but yellow color so I tried manic panic blue moon on top of it because my goal was to get that shade of blue which i totally failed at because it turned a light green instead. I was told to mix the Joico color intensity eraser with a 10-20 volume developer to remove the light green and when the hair reaches a light enough shade then dye my hair the blue color. I also purchased an “adore” platinum color just in case (if that helps) should i do that? or is there an easier way?

remember the color wheel. if you mix blue and yellow, you get green. you're going to need to get rid of the yellow first with something purple before you dye over it with blue. ideally you want a pale yellow; everyone seems to reference the inside of a banana. depending on how yellow your hair currently is, you could tone it, or you could use purple shampoo to get rid of the yellow. if neither of those things work, you might just have to bleach it again, and then tone/shampoo it, then dye it blue. toner, purple shampoo, and manic panic all wash out pretty quick so be ready for some major upkeeping D:
on a side note, i dont know if this works for everyone but i bleached the crap out of my hair, with my tips being a level 10, and when i used my blue conditioner for too long (like 10 minutes), my tips turned blue. im sure if i left it on longer, it would have turned even more blue. just an idea if the manic panic is a headache. i was using the Chi brand silver blonde conditioner. i dont recommend it for being a silver blonde because, well, it turned my hair blue.

Just a quick note as the site admin @rachelxlv, please give your topics meaningful titles. Instead of calling this post and your other one "Rachel", something like "Removing colour before going blue" is much more useful. Also, please stick to one post per topic.
I'm going to close this topic because it's so similar to your other post, but you can continue to update your original topic here: https://www.haircrazy.com/forum/dyeing/25655/rachel/
