Help! I have had platinum blonde hair for years now always dying crazy colors but always go back to blonde. In November 2017 I dyed my whole head pink but right before that I had bleached my roots, they were orange and I didn't wanna deal with it so I just dyed the whole thing pink. Now I'm paying for it. It's may now and where I had bleached the roots before dying pink are STILL dark pink. I've tried baking soda, peroxide, hot oil treatments, dandruff shampoo, dish soap, Malibu direct dye lifter with developer and toning shampoo. I CANNOT get this out. Now after using Malibu direct dye lifter with wella 20 developer my roots are brassy my lower part is STILL PINK and my ends are platinum how do I get it out?
What brand did you use? Was the brand used ION or RAW or Sparks? I would suggest not trying that brand of pink again. I would appreciate knowing so can avoid using that brand of pink hair dye.
One idea that might help is liquid laundry detergent used in place of shampoo. Liquid laundry detergent works better than a clarifying shampoo but does make the hair more dry. Rinse the hair with very warm to hot water.
Saturate the hair with regular shaving cream when wet. Then add liquid dish soap and rub into the shaving cream working the two products into a lather. Then rinse with very warm to hot water.
Hot water helps to remove color/stain from hair.
Some colleagues here suggest a color remover for the pink and other semi-permanent dyes. Based on my experience with color removers I do not suggest a color remover. If you use bleach after using a color remover and do not thoroughly remove the color remover, the color will come back. If decide to try a color remover then suggest rinse the hair thoroughly at least three times and wash the hair at least twice.
These are my suggestions and opinion.
I used SPLAT, and then on top of that I used manic panic hot pink. I will give the laundry detergent and shaving cream a try but I don't think it'll help, I just used a dye lifter which I'm assuming is like a color remover but it needed to be mixed with developer and that's what made my roots orange and my pink didn't budge. Like I said I've tried everything that was suggested to me and this stuff isn't coming out. I'm trying to find a hair dresser that's willing to work with me but in my past experiences hair dressers always mess my hair up. But if that's my last option I am willing to just go get this professionally removed
Thank you for the information on Splat. Splat is also vey well known to be very hard to remove, but not completely impossible.
I found my methods suggested to be better than a clarifying shampoo. Like any stain will get some out but takes time, especially with resistant dyes like Splat, N Rage, and ION.
Sounds like you used a color remover, so would suggest rinse the hair thoroughly at least twice and wash the hair lightly twice. This is to remove the color molecules that shrunk which is the purpose of a color remover. Color removers work best on natural color permanent box dyes you buy in the store to get black, auburn, medium brown or golden blonde hair. My moto is better to be safe than sorry.
Splat is not as hard to remove as ION, so definitely think you will get to where you want in time. Keep at it, seek professional help is up tp you. Best of luck!
This is my opinion and suggestions.
