Hi Guys! I'm new here-I'm sure you've already noticed. If this topic has already been addressed, please direct me there! I searched and couldn't really find what I was looking for, since I have a lot going on. SO-Initially, I had my hair shadow rooted from my natural jet black to a multi color craziness of pink, blue, teal and purple. After this faded out, I went back and had my shadow root bleached to scalp. Since my roots were over an inch, I got really bright orange banding..so after she lifted me, my stylist laid an ash light brown over that area to cut the orange out, which helped. So...the color I ended up putting on my hair was like a peachy pink color combo (pulp riot) , which I loved...however, as I've started to wash my hair, the dye seems like it's getting really ultra orange on my roots..and fading everywhere else.
BAD NEWS, my stylist has moved and I want to fix this...so, I messaged her and she told me to put a light pink over it..and it should bring the bright orange back to peach. Before I laid the light pink over it, i did a couple rounds of dandruff shampoo, making sure I really got it in the roots...and it really did a good job of fading the roots out a bit. Then I laid the light pink down all over...and it looked great!! But now, 3 days later, my roots are getting bright orange again.SO, I really just want to go back to the grey I had before...and maybe throw a lavender in there...but my question is, what is the best way to do this? Do I have to do a color strip? Bleach bath? Can I just lay toner or color over what I have? I'm totally clueless. Up to this point, I couldn't find a colorist who could lift my hair EVENLY and without it turning into an orange mess. When I finally found one, she moved away after 3 good dye jobs lol.
UNDER this hair, it's very light blond, darker towards my roots because of the banding and her having to put the ash brown on top of the last bleach job.
I hope I'm giving all the info I need..and I'm using the right terms lol. Forgive me, I'm a newbie
If these pics aren't good enough, let me know..

first I would try doing some dandruff shampoo soaks (20 mins with heat) then try a colour remover like Colour B4 to get the permanent dye lifted (be sure to rinse, and wash for a long time) then depending on your base, try a diluted pinky-purple like Punky Plum or Manic Panic Purple Haze, SFX Pimpin Purple, Artic Fox Purple Rain etc

Thanks for the advice!! I'll be trying this soon. I haven't done the dandruff shampoos with heat before.
