Color remover after bleach?by KitsuneXIVPosted 3 years ago
So I was getting my supplies to go really light today but I had dyed my hair black and Sally's didn't have the color remover I use :(. Another bleach should do the job but right now I'm left with white to almost neon orange hair.
Would color remover even work after I've bleached? If so I'll probably go for that instead of bleaching again.

I find it sometimes helps, but it's less reliable and removes less than if you use it before bleach.

It's hard to say for sure, but from personal experience it does help.
I had this: https://www.haircrazy.com/timelines/Jude/2013/1/20/34339/ and changed to this: https://www.haircrazy.com/timelines/Jude/2013/5/31/38875/
I'd used a colour remover twice before bleaching but there was still a bit of warmth left over from the brown dye. I then used another colour remover and it evened out the blonde and got rid of most of the light brown/brassy areas.
I'd try a strand test and see if it works for you.

So i used a color remover (Color oops) and it did almost nothing. It sort of softened the orange but not really doing a whole lot other than making my hair a bit dryer. So here the question now, should i go ahead and tone or bleach one more time? I'm not afraid of damaging my hair more but i want it all as even as possible without having to buy more product. The toner i will be using is Wella T18

i'd tone with purple shampoo or use conditioner and Mp ultru violet diluted, give the hair a month and see if you can spot bleach the orange bits because the wella toner is going to make it drier, add damage and turn the light parts silver but do nothing on the darker bits, at this phase it's damage for nothing
