Ssoooo I had dyed my naturally brown hair a bit of a darker brown back probably four or five months ago. Got bored and decided to bleach it. Knowing full well that it wouldn't be a perfect job but I'm at a loss on how to fix this haha. I have yellow roots, orange ish roots and the hair by my nape is almost white. I had used wellas t18 toner atfter and it helped some but I feel like there's more I can do.
I had bleached with with L'Oréals blue Flash bleach and 30 volume on the ends and left the roots last. Just looking for some advice. Im more of a do it yourself kind of person so I'd rather try home options first! See picture for reference!
Well you can always dye it darker with a cool toned brown or black. But if you want to continue lighter I would recommend bleaching maybe 1 more time then toning with a very purple toned. It'll hopefully cancel out all the redness. Stay away from your roots when bleaching because they are so light already.
Use a color remover before bleaching further (color ooops, color fix, color b4) the sulfur stinky ones, then see how much more you need to bleach (after making sure dye particles are gone and accumulating some natural oils back in your hair). T18 is meant to make the fairest hair platinum it doesn't have much of an effect on orange
Bleaching isn't really a great way to get box dyes out of your hair - what you want is a remover like colour b4. I'm not sure how effective it'll be now that you've already bleached it, but maybe worth a go as they're not damaging like bleach, just drying so make sure you use some kind of conditioning treatment afterwards, like coconut oil.
You could try putting a darker colour on top, such as one of Adore's browns if you need something natural, or wait and see what happens after the colour remover if you want something lighter. You might be able to just bleach the darker parts if you're careful, or do a bleach bath if you're concerned about damage.
