Root regrowth with ion clour brilliance magenta hair colour

Hello everyone :-) I recently died my hair with ion colour brilliance magenta. I had bleached it twice since my hair was darker. Just wondering for future how I will touch up my hair once my roots grow in? Will I need to bleach my roots again then dye my hair again with the colour brilliance, or do I just dye it without bleaching the roots. My roots will be dark again, so is it safe to assume I bleach them again?? Any info would be much appreciated.

Yes, you'll need to bleach them again, though roots typically process faster than ends, so you may not need to bleach twice. Try not to let them get too long (more than 0.5 inches) since then you'll end up with banding where your roots are platinum, but the very ends of them are orange, because they've grown out to far.

Yes bleach the roots till you get the same color before you applied ION Magenta. Then apply the ION Magenta to the roots. These are my suggestions.

Ok thanks :-) should I bleach in 2 sessions, bottom half first then top later since it will take me a while and I dont want to overbleach..?

bleach your roots only please do not rebleach the rest of your hair as that is unnecessary and will cause more damage each time if you wish to refresh the rest of your hair you can run your diluted magenta over your lengths if necessary

Ya I meant the dye ..not the bleach :-) im just going to bleach my roots in 2 sessions, unless im quick enough to do it in 1 session lol, then im going to dye my whole head with the magenta. I didnt dilute it the first time. Found it a good texture to work with as is.

you should be able to do your roots in one session as roots lift much easier than the rest of your hair. A good bleach plus 15-20V should give you enough lift.

and you can use far less dye when you mix it with conditioner and still get a vibrant colour result

Ooh.. good to know :-) for the bleaching though... if it takes me 30 minutes just to do my bpttom half of my head (roots) then by the time I do the top of my head the bpttom will already be bleached...so isent it best to do in 2 sessions?

Bleach the back session of your hair FIRST, apparently since there is less heat it takes longer then continue to go around your face. I would do it in one session and that should be enough. Also only bleach your roots!
